Tulip Dress ohhhh HEMPCEL folks,, a fabric I dont use much, and i'm starting to wonder why, seriously, LIKE BUTTA'....and INCREDIBLY comfortable...This is a sccchweeeet new Dress design i stitched up for ya! The hempcel is dyed a gorgeous wheat color. This fabric lays beautifully against your curves and has a beauutiful flow to it when ya walk:) I appliqued a vine with some tulips n lil bubbles along the side/front. Enchanted forest I have been hoarding this purple fabric ( i was afraid to use such a pretty color until i know exactly what i wanted to make)for a long while,, it is by far my favorite color right now, a dusty grape color,, this is a pretty as it gets if like purple girls! 6 panel A line designs skirt all topstitched, cut a line for less bunch at top and all that spin at the bottom! I spy a Dragonfly My daughter n I like to play "I spy", our own lil nature version of the game,, and there are ALWAYS dragonflies to spy this time of year:o I started off with a Beautiful soft sage green hemp organic cotton. The skirt is a 6 Panel A line design, for less bunch at top , but still has all that spin at the bottom:) Please check out the close up of the dragonfly to see the details, these pics are a tad washed out... The dragonfly and flower applique was done in a light smokey lavender, and natural, and finished off with decorative stitchin and some beadwork!!. Sunny day at the swamp Pt 2 A year or so ago I made a pair of pants called sunny day at the swamp,. these gauchos also fit this description:0 Inspired by all the dragonflies and weird lookin bugs buzzing around the creekbed next to our house:) I started off with Hemp Organic cotton dyed a beautiful shade of Wheat. *Peacock Love*** It was so refreshing to create this one of a kind piece, the creativity was flowing like mad. Done in a handy Hemp/Organic Cotton dyed a GORgeOUS BaBy Blue.. Branch n Blossom Ruffle skirt Me LOVES this one,, I am a HUGE fan of 3/.4 length skirt.. not to short ( i dont look real good in them hehehe)and not to long, so you are still able to romp around like a tomboy without losing that feminine look! *GD inspired Dress** Another Gd dress inspired by the song *Eyes of the world** im starting to figure out this must be one of my fave GD songs, I made an eyes of the world skirt awhile back too.... I started with a Hemp/Cotton sage color for the base of the dress.. and accented with Terracotta, natural and charcoal. on the front of the dress I appliqued "sometimes we Live No Particular Way But Our Own". There are 2 Pockets, Both have Dancing bear Appliques, and there is a GD Bolt applique on the bodice!! Finished off with some trim and a ruffle.. There are verrrry subtle gathers at the top. just enought to give it that xtra something.. I put a lot of love into this dress( always do when i make a gd dress).. the pics arent the best, it was soooooo cold out there,, we just hurried n took em before my lil hands fell off!! I know some lucky mama is gonna spin the night away in this dress!! your luck its to big on me,, i thought about keeping it.. Pixie Flower pants** Lots of work and these bad boys. i was originally going to make a pair similar to the retro flower pants i made recently, and (as usual) the applique work got the best of me, and I Just kept adding more and more flowers,,, that start large and fade away into pixie dust, getting smaller n smaller as they climb up the leg. The base of the pants are a gorgeous Hemp/Organic cotton in Ruby red.. The appliques colors include, rose, marigold, natural, marmalade ... there is rounded gathered pocket at the hip, with an applique as well,, Once again, a LOT of time went into these,, this isnt just one little flower applique, these took a lot of time!!!
